The Kestrel Talon - Strength And Smoothness
The Kestrel team certainly know how to build quality bikes at a great price Owners of the Kestrel Talon wax lyrical about its strength but also its smoothness. The bike is well known for its good power transfer and acceleration. Importantly it remains stable in fast descents. It’s strong and durable and will still be looking great years after you’ve bought it. By some standards the Kestrel Talon bike is somewhat heavy, but in fact this helps its stability. It has a core strength, but at the same time a kind of suppleness.
Although not a serious racer by any means, the Kestrel Talon climbs and descends well. Many riders say that they don't feel so tired after a long ride with a lot of climbs. Rides like a dream and climbs like a squirrel up a tree.
And remember, there are terrific variations - the Kestrel Talon Shimano 105, the Kestrel Talon SL. Taking it as a whole, it's hard to say a bad word about the Kestrel Talon. Performance. Components. Or durability.. The frame may at times feel stiff, but it cushions well on the tough roads. And you'll be pleased it does. The bike is fast and responsive. A sweet ride, indeed.
